OVERCOMING ANXIETY AND STRESS

Are you stressed and overwhelmed? Every decision feels like a major life decision?
I want to share what has been helping me process my feelings and worries.
Instead of letting anxiety swirl around unbridled in our minds, let’s rein it in and put it on paper. Seeing things in black and white helps us be logical, take steps to work through dilemmas and even raise our dopamine levels by achieving a sense of accomplishment.

I created a printable worksheet of the things I write down when my mind becomes too full. When we have so much going on it’s hard to even identify what is causing our stress.
A weight is lifted by identifying our stressors alone. Instead of one giant looming during sleepless nights, there are smaller, more identifiable obstacles.

It’s time to put down whatever we are self-medicating with because it’s only masking the problem. We can address what is really on our hearts and be courageous.

This worksheet aims to provide you with practical strategies and exercises to manage anxiety and stress effectively. Remember, it’s essential to be patient with yourself and practice these techniques regularly to see improvements.

5 minutes gratitude

Do you believe in the power of transformation through gratitude, yet still struggle to find the good in your life? When we feel grateful, our brain releases oxytocin.
When your brain is on gratitude, a body of research led by Robert A. Emmons reports you can close the knowledge-to-gratitude gap and achieve results like:
 • Improved relationships.
 • Sleeping 30 minutes more each night.
 • Boosting self-confidence and self-worth.
 • Decreasing fat intake by up to 20 percent.
 • Increased feelings of energy, alertness, and enthusiasm.
In my personal experience — and in watching clients achieve remarkable results through gratitude — all of these benefits help you take on a challenge and learn from failure gratitude list does not inoculate us from experiencing uncomfortable emotions. But it does help cope as we work our checklist toward improved mental health. a daily gratitude practice can be detrimental to your pursuit of a grateful brain.

BREATHING exercise

Is an essential tool to use along with our thought exercises. There are many different breathing techniques that can be used, often to help us to relax and to focus our attention on the present moment. When doing so, it is important to breathe in through the nose, all the way into the belly, out through the mouth . . . with the abdomen rising and falling with each inhalation and exhalation.

Breathing techniques can be used alone or with other exercises such as visualization and meditation. They can also be very helpful in ending a panic attack, by focusing on our breathing and mindfully changing from anxious shallow breaths to deep abdominal breathing.
